Lane Closures Expected For Stretch Of Highway In Hudson Valley Officials are advising motorists to expect lane closures on a stretch of a Hudson Valley highway. The New York State Department of Transportation said Rockland County motorists should plan for lane closures on Route 59 eastbound and westbound between Route 303 in Clarkstown and Route 9W in Orangetown. The lane closures are set to be implemented nightly from Monday, Aug. 22, through Friday, Aug. 26, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., to facilitate roadway paving, officials said.

She received the prize as a single, lump-sum payment of $559,860 after required withholdings, NY Lottery said. The ticket was purchased at Carol’s Gift Shop, which is located at 3081 Route 22 in Dover Plains, the lottery said.

Christopher Garufi, of Lindenhurst, was charged with animal cruelty, assault, and aggravated harassment, the Suffolk County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals reported on Monday, Aug. 22. Seen Her? Stratford Police Department Issues Silver Alert For Missing Woman Police in Fairfield County issued a Silver Alert for a missing 71-year-old woman. The Stratford Police Department announced on Sunday, Aug. 21, that Ida Dicocco has been reported missing. Dicocco is described as being 5-foot-4 and 200 pounds, with brown eyes and gray hair, authorities said. Police said Dicocco speaks some English and has an Italian accent.  She has dementia and epilepsy, police reported.  Police asked anyone who has information about Dicocco's whereabouts to call 203-385-4100.
