Officers investigated reports of personal checks being stolen from residential mailboxes in New Canaan on Ferris Hill Road and West Road, the New Canaan Police Department reported on Monday, Aug. 22. Man Apprehended After Driving Stolen Vehicle In New Rochelle, Police Say A 51-year-old man was charged after police said he drove a stolen vehicle in Westchester County. Authorities received a report of a stolen vehicle entering New Rochelle from I-95 at about 8:40 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 20, the New Rochelle Police Department said. Four Wanted For Setting Fire To Vehicles In Parking Lot Of Store In Valley Stream Police are searching for four people who are accused of setting fire to buses in the parking lot of a Long Island mall. Four suspects set fire to two buses in the parking lot of Dick's Sporting Goods at the Green Acres Mall in Valley Stream at about 8:30 a.m. on Friday, July 8, the Nassau County Police Department reported on Monday, Aug. 22. The blaze spread to and destroyed an additional bus, police said.
