Orangetown Police Arrest Man After Altercation Causes Injury, Damage
ORANGEBURG, N.Y. -- Orangetown police have arrested a Spring Valley man for criminal mischief following an altercation early Sunday morning.
Police were informed of a fight taking place on Main Street around 4 a.m., according to officials.
When officers arrived at the scene, a large storefront window was broken and the suspect, identified as Tony A. Mayen, was suffering from a lacerated hand, police report.
After an investigation, Mayen was arrested on a charge of criminal mischief in the third degree and disorderly conduct, police report.

Southport Man Pleads Guilty To Tax Evasion In Scheme To Bilk Benefactor
SOUTHPORT, Conn. -- Deirdre M. Daly, U.S. attorney for the District of Connecticut, announced last week that Orval Furlong, 72, of Southport, waived his right to indictment and pleaded guilty in New Haven federal court to one count of tax evasion.
According to court documents and statements made in court, Furlong was a lifelong friend of a wealthy benefactor.
Over the years, the benefactor paid some of Furlong’s debts and financed tuition for Furlong’s children’s schools, court documents reveal.

POMONA, N.Y. -- Veteran actress Jordan Baker, who has had roles on the radio station-focused TV programs “NewsRadio” and “Frasier,” is joining “The Morning Show" with Steve Possell starting Monday.
Baker replaces Meredyth Glover, who left to pursue other interests.
