Yorktown Teen Charged With Possession Of Alcohol In Sparkle Lake Park
YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Yorktown police have arrested a 16-year-old Yorktown male for violating a town ordinance prohibiting the possession of an alcoholic beverage in public. Police responded to a call from personnel at the Yorktown Parks and Recreation Department reporting possible consumption of alcoholic beverages in Sparkle Lake Park on Tuesday at 1:41 p.m., officials report. Police Dish Out 50 Tickets In Sprain Brook Parkway Detail
WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- New York State Police doled out 50 tickets during a traffic safety and speed enforcement detail on the Sprain Brook Parkway Tuesday. During the detail, 35 motorists were issued traffic tickets for violating the posted 55 miles-per-hour speed limit. Another 15 were cited for offenses such as failing to move over for an emergency vehicle, hazardous lane changes and equipment violations.

Read To A Dog At Rutherford Library
RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- The Rutherford Public Library will host its latest “Read to a Dog” sessions on Thursday, March 17, from 4 to 5 p.m. The library will welcome back Savannah, a registered Newfoundland therapy dog, for the event.
