Connecticut Officials Advise Pregnant Women To Avoid Zika Virus Regions FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- State health officials continue to monitor for the Zika virus and alert the public of the potential to contract the virus while traveling abroad. Fire At Monsey Storage Facility Leads To Evacuation Of Supermarket MONSEY, N.Y. -- A fire that started at a storage building on Orchard Street Monday night threatened a neighboring business, News 12 reports. The Rockland Kosher Supermarket was evacuated after the blaze spread to a vehicle parked near the storage facility, according to News 12. Fair Lawn Library Seeks Help Purchasing Early Literacy Stations FAIR LAWN, N.J. -- The Maurice M. Pine Free Public Library is seeking the public’s assistance in its efforts to purchase a pair of Early Literacy Stations for the library's children's room. The ELS computers are for kids age 2 to 8. Blauvelt Fire Costs Dog Its Life BLAUVELT, N.Y. -- A structure fire on Bradley Hill Road has resulted in the death of a dog. Orangetown Police responded to a the fire on Saturday at approximately 1:48 p.m., according to officials. At the scene, officers found heavy smoke and flames coming out of a detached barn or garage that had been converted into an apartment, police report.
