Bergen Courts Offer Free Expungement Clinic In Hackensack
HACKENSACK, N.J. -- Bergen County Courts are having a free expungement clinic from 10 a.m. to noon Friday in the jury room (Room 404) of the courthouse. The clinic, a joint presentation of the courts and the Employment Opportunity Project, is being provided to help those with minor convictions clear their records for better job prospects. Information covered will include the kinds of records that can be expunged, both criminal and juvenile, the requirements for being eligible, how to prepare and file an application for expungement and what happens after an expungement has been granted. …

Bloomingdale Mayor Marks January As Radon Action Month
BLOOMINGDALE, N.J. -- Bloomingdale Mayor John Dunleavy has announced January will be Radon Action Month for the borough. The initiative is in cooperation with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. "Radon is a serious health risk," Dunleavy said. "It is the second-leading cause of lung cancer – and the leading cause of lung cancer among non-smokers." Bloomingdale will provide information on radon for residents at the clerk's office, 101 Hamburg Turnpike.

Saddle Brook School District Names New Director Of Special Services
SADDLE BROOK, N.J. -- The Saddle Brook School District has named Frank Santora its new director of special services. Santora will begin his tenure in mid-February. He will also serve as the new principal of Washington School. Santora comes to Saddle Brook from the Union Township School District, where he is currently employed as a supervisor of special services. He was also a school psychologist in the Westfield School District.
