Prior to retiring, he owned and operated East Paterson Construction Company for over 50 years. He was a member of the Elmwood Park/Paterson Elks Lodge 60. He was also an avid bowler and enjoyed watching the Yankees. Westport Reduces Winter Hours For Yard Waste Site WESTPORT, Conn. -- Director of Public Works Stephen Edwards has announced that the Yard Waste Site located at 180 Bayberry Lane will operate under reduced hours as of Monday, Jan. 11. The new schedule will be Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Saturdays from 7 a.m. to noon. The new schedule will be in effect until March 7, when regular hours will resume. Christmas trees will be accepted from Westport residents at the Yard Waste Site during its hours of operation.

Jason Velante was elected to fill an unexpired term during the November election. Baumann Free Public Library will hold the first meeting of its cooking club, Bon Appetit, On Wednesday, Jan. 20, at 6:30 p.m. Each member of the club will bring in a dish and a recipe for the rest of the group to try.
