Salem State Student Killed In Halloween Night Shooting Near Campus: DA An 18-year-old Salem State University student was shot and killed in a car near the Essex County college Wednesday morning, Nov. 1, authorities said. Police received a 911 call just before 1:30 a.m. about a shooting near 22 Forest Avenue. Plainfield Man Busted Sending Sexual Messages To 'Child' On Facebook: DA A 49-year-old Plainfield man who thought he was preying on a 14-year-old girl on Facebook was, in truth, talking to an undercover officer in Berkshire County. Alleged Drunk Driver Who Seriously Hurt Woman In South Boston Gets $5K Bond: DA A 46-year-old man accused of hospitalizing a woman after he drunkenly crashed into her as she crossed the street on Saturday, Oct. 28, was ordered held on a $5,000 bond, authorities said. The Wilmington woman said she was scratching her ticket as she waited on him and won $1 million on the $10 “$4,000,000 Diamonds” game. Leary plans to take her handsome husband on vacation with the money. Leary chose the one-time payment of $650,000 before taxes over the annuity. Shrewsbury High Robotics Mentor Busted With Child Porn; Took Secret Pics Of Students: Feds A 60-year-old Shrewsbury man who mentors teens with the Shrewsbury High School Robotics Team was caught with images and video of child sexual abuse material, authorities said.
