Worcester Man, 28, Killed In Fiery Tractor-Trailer Crash In Central Mass: Police A 28-year-old man was killed Thursday night, Aug. 10, in a crash on the Massachusetts Turnpike in Worcester County, authorities said.  Christian Sherrow, of Worcester, was traveling at a "high rate of speed" on I-90 in Warren when his Subaru Outback crashed into the back of a tractor-trailer truck just before 9:30 p.m., Massachusetts State Police said.  The car was pinned under the truck when it and the trailer caught fire.  Sherrow died at the scene. Fatal Shooting Victim ID'd In Springfield; Police Searching For Killer Police released the name of the 29-year-old man gunned down Sunday, Aug. 6, in Springfield's South end.  Emmanuel Hernandez-Garcia was shot at 7:45 p.m. on Hancock Street near the intersection of Union Street, Springfield police said.  Paramedics rushed him to Baystate Medical Center, where he later died of his wounds.  Police urge anyone with information on the shooter or who may have witnessed anything related to the killing to contact detectives at 413-787-6355.

ID Released For Fatal Stabbing Victim; Western Mass Officers Nab Suspect Police in Hampden County identified the man stabbed in broad daylight last week in Chicopee and said they found the man who wielded the knife.  Maurice Crump, 24, was found bleeding out in the 90 block of West Street around 3 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 6, Chicopee police said.
