Injured Hunter Rescued By Firefighters, Paramedics in Milan
MILAN, N.Y. -- A 55-year-old Poughkeepsie hunter with an injured leg was rescued from a densely wooded area by members of the Milan Fire Department, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal.The man, whose name was not released, was hunting off of Lamoree Road about 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, when he fell while exiting a tree stand, according to the report.
Firefighters and ambulance crews entered the woods, carrying the man several thousand feet to a utility task vehicle. He was then taken to Northern Dutchess Hospital by paramedics, the report said.

Person Wounded In Poughkeepsie Shooting, Police Seek Suspect
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- City police are searching for a man wanted in connection with a Hudson Avenue shooting on Monday afternoon, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal.
According to the report, the man was last seen heading north from 120 Hudson Ave., Building 6.
According to the newspaper, police responded to the scene about 1:15 p.m. The victim, according to the report, appears to have been struck by the gunshot when the shooter fired at another, targeted person.
Police said the injuries suffered by that person were not considered life threatening, according to the report.

Murray Resigns From Ridgefield School Board Weeks After Winning Re-Election
RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Just weeks after receiving the most votes of all candidates seeking a seat on the Ridgefield Board of Education, Chris Murray has resigned, according to ridgefieldpress.com.
Murray said the reason for his resignation, which was official on Nov. 17, was "to spend more time focused on (his) family," the story said.
Under the town charter, the board may replace him with a member of his same party — Republican — by a majority vote within 30 days, Ridgefieldpress.com said. Otherwise, the decision will be made by the Board of Selectmen, the report said.
