Oradell Students To Display Artwork At River Edge Culture Center ORADALL, N.J. -- Art work from River Dell High School students will be displayed at the River Edge Cultural Center as part of the annual Spring Exhibit that opens on March 19. More than 70 young artists will feature approximately 80 of their best projects. The pieces will include works of sculpture, photography, watercolors, ceramics and video. Caring For Ringwood Day Enters 31st Year RINGWOOD, N.J. -- Ringwood is looking for volunteers to help with its annual Caring Day on Saturday, April 30.The day begins with a light breakfast at the Municipal Park and Ride lot at 9 a.m. Volunteers will receive clean up assignments. A paper shredding service will be offered from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Park and Ride. Volunteer registration is encouraged. Call Cesar Villon in the Recycling Department at 973-475-7179 to sign up. Wayne Students Learn The Biz Of Entrepreneurship WAYNE, N.J. -- Students from John F. Kennedy Elementary in Wayne recently finished a five-week entrepreneur workshop.Students learned how to run their own business then sold products at the school's annual Trep$ Marketplace.

Wyckoff Fire Company Wins Inspection Contest WYCKOFF, N.J. -- Wykcoff's Protection Engine Company No. 1 won the Township’s 57th Annual Fire Department Inspection Contest that was held recently. A panel of five independent fire fighting experts conducted the inspection of the fire apparatus and the knowledge of the firefighters. Volunteer firefighters spent several weeks dismantling, cleaning and repairing the fire pumpers and trucks of the three fire companies that protect the Township. Little Ferry Philanthropist Honored By Ramapo College Foundation LITTLE FERRY, N.J. -- Little Ferry resident and developer Donald Nuckel was honored by Ramapo College Foundation at the Rockleigh Country Club for his efforts in bringing an innovative educational program to the Little Ferry school district. Lyndhurst Prepares For Hayden's Heart 5K Run LYNDHURST, N.J. -- The fourth annual Hayden's Heart 5k run will be held on Saturday, March 19. Registration opens on race day at 9 a.m. with the run stepping off at 11 a.m. in Riverside County Park. Entry fee is $35 with proceeds going to benefit the Hayden's Heart Foundation to help fund congenital heart defect research. The first 500 registered will receive a t-shirt. Paramus Elementary School Organizes Oral Hygiene Program PARAMUS, N.J. -- Future dental hygienists from Bergen Community College visited Parkway Elementary School in Paramus to discuss and demonstrate proper oral hygiene recently. Parkway students learned to use the proper tools, including a toothbrush, fluoride toothpaste, and dental floss, to clean their teeth and tongue.
