Saddle Brook Drum Circle Plays For Earth Day Fundraiser SADDLE BROOK, N.J. -- Saddle Brook's "Drums from Heaven" will perform at an Earth Day Fundraiser at the VFW on April 17. The event will feature cultural performances by both the Life Movement Dancers and the Center for Modern Dance Education. Admission is $20 and will help fund scholarships for both dance schools. The performance will run from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. VFW Post 3484 is located at 44 Market St.

Bergen County Freeholders Congratulate FDU On NCAA Tournament Bid TEANECK, N.J. -- Bergen County Freeholders offered up congratulations to the Fairleigh Dickenson University Basketball team for clinching an NCAA Tournament bid for the first time since 2005. “All of us are proud of the FDU men’s basketball team,” Freeholder Chairman Steve Tanelli said. “We wish them the best as they start the March Madness journey. Bergen County Strong!” The Team will square off against Florida Gulf Coast University at 6:40 p.m. on Tuesday.

Paramus Scholarship Show Foundation Honor Local Rotarian Fred Rohdieck PARAMUS, N.J. -- The Paramus Scholarship Show Foundation honored Fred Rohdieck at its annual fundraising dinner dance recently. Rohdieck is a very active member of the community, a 26 year member of the Paramus scholarship show foundation board of directors, public relations chair of the Paramus Rotary Club, and the current and long time treasurer of the Paramus scholarship show fund. Music Speaks Offers Free Trial Classes in Northvale BERGEN COUNTY, N.J. -- Music Speaks is offering early childhood music programs for preschoolers ages 3 months through 4.5 years old. The music program uses a mix of traditional and contemporary songs from around the world in order to bring out the innate musical nature of young children.
