Dumont, New Milford Gas Main Repairs Nearly Complete DUMONT, N.J. -- A massive project to replace gas mains in Bergenfield, Dumont and New Milford is nearly complete, according to NorthJersey.com. The $1.2 billion project began in 2014 and saw 250 miles of old, antiquated cast iron gas main lines replaced with plastic piping. Fort Lee Set To Build $8.5 Million Addition To School No. 2 FORT LEE, N.J. -- The Fort Lee Board of Education awarded an $8.5 million contract to build a three-story addition onto School No. 2 on Feb. 22, according to NorthJersey.com. Totowa-based Two Brothers Contracting, Inc. was awarded the contract, and will build a 20,000 square foot addition that will hold eight new classrooms, NorthJersey.com reported.  The addition is one part of a $50 million referendum to improve facilities throughout the district, NorthJersey.com said.  Click here to read the NorthJersey.com article.

Wood-Ridge Organizes T-Shirt Design Contest WOOD-RIDGE, N.J. -- The Keep Wood-Ridge Beautiful Committee is holding a t-shirt design contest through April 15. The contest is open to students in grades seven and eight. Contestants must be Wood-Ridge residents.  Designs should be simple and in black and white on a standard-sized sheet of white paper. Names must not appear on the front of the drawing.  The winner, who will be announced on June 5, will receive a $50 prize. Winners must be present at the time of the announcement.  Entry forms can be picked up in the art room at Wood-Ridge Junior Senior High School.
