Saddle Brook Library Director Prepares For Retirement SADDLE BROOK, N.J. -- Saddle Brook Library Director Alma Henderson will retire in April after nearly 12 years in the role. Supporters recently held a goodbye party for Henderson.  "I also commended her for extraordinary leadership, demonstrated by the significant improvements she and her staff have made to our library during her time as director," Mayor Robert White said. "We wish her the best of luck, health and happiness in her retirement."  The Saddle Brook Library's family day event on Saturday, March 19 will serve as another goodbye gathering for Henderson.

Dumont, New Milford Gas Main Repairs Nearly Complete DUMONT, N.J. -- A massive project to replace gas mains in Bergenfield, Dumont and New Milford is nearly complete, according to NorthJersey.com. The $1.2 billion project began in 2014 and saw 250 miles of old, antiquated cast iron gas main lines replaced with plastic piping. Wood-Ridge Organizes T-Shirt Design Contest WOOD-RIDGE, N.J. -- The Keep Wood-Ridge Beautiful Committee is holding a t-shirt design contest through April 15. The contest is open to students in grades seven and eight. Contestants must be Wood-Ridge residents.  Designs should be simple and in black and white on a standard-sized sheet of white paper. Names must not appear on the front of the drawing.  The winner, who will be announced on June 5, will receive a $50 prize. Winners must be present at the time of the announcement.  Entry forms can be picked up in the art room at Wood-Ridge Junior Senior High School.
