Glenroy Walters, of Mount Vernon, won the CASH4LIFE second prize for matching the first five numbers selected in the drawing on Thursday, June 2, the New York Lottery announced on Wednesday, Aug. 3. The winning numbers were: 12 40 54 55 60 with the Cash Ball 03. Walters chose to receive his prize as a single, lump-sum payment of $650,923 after required withholdings, the lottery announced. His winning ticket was purchased at AA Express Mart, which is located at 230 West Lincoln Ave. in Mount Vernon, NY Lottery said.

Silver Alert Issued For Missing CT 15-Year-Old Connecticut State Police just issued a Silver Alert for a missing 15-year-old boy. New London County resident Marcus Gibson, of the Town of Bozrah, was reported missing on Wednesday, Aug. 3, police said. He is described as being 5 feet tall and 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, authorities said.  Police said Marcus was last seen wearing dark-colored shorts and riding a gray bicycle. Alert Issued For Wanted Hudson Valley Man Police issued an alert about a 35-year-old man who is wanted after failing to show up to court appearances in the Hudson Valley. Michael Scialabba was arrested in April and May for petit larceny but failed to show up to any court appearances, according to an alert from the Town of Newburgh Police Department on Wednesday, July 20. Scialabba is described as being 5-foot-7, 148 pounds, and bald with blue eyes, police said. Authorities asked anyone with information about his whereabouts to call Newburgh Police at 845-564-1100.

Danbury Man Accused Of Driving 161 MPH A Connecticut man was charged with reckless driving after police said he was clocked driving 161 miles per hour on a highway in New Hampshire.  A New Hampshire State trooper saw an orange 2021 Chevrolet Corvette speed past him on I-93 northbound in Ashland at about 11:15 a.m. on Sunday, July 31, police said.  The trooper clocked the car on radar at 161 MPH in the section of the interstate where the speed limit is 70 mph, authorities said. Darien High School Graduate Dies Unexpectedly At Age 25 A man who grew up in Fairfield County and pursued higher education opportunities out of state has died at the age of 25. Luke Walter Kostrzewski, a former resident of Darien, died unexpectedly in Charleston, South Carolina, on Tuesday, July 19, according to his obituary. He was born in Stamford and graduated from Darien High School. According to his obituary, Kostrzewski also graduated from the College of Charleston, and he had plans to continue his education.
