Blaze Breaks Out At Norwalk Home Crews extinguished a blaze that broke out at a Fairfield County home. Firefighters responded to a residential fire at a house on Morehouse Lane in Norwalk at about 4:45 p.m on Friday, July 29, the Norwalk Fire Department reported. When authorities arrived, fire was showing from the rear deck and siding, and smoke was coming from the eves of the house, the fire department reported. Officials said the fire was brought under control in 26 minutes. Authorities did not report any injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Suspect Nabbed After Nassau County Burglary Spree, Police Say A 57-year-old man is facing charges after police say he committed multiple burglaries on Long Island. Officers responded to a report of a burglary at the Plaza Eatery Deli, located at 28 North Station Plaza in Great Neck Plaza, at about 1:20 a.m. on Sunday, July 31, the Nassau County Police Department said. Woman Accused Of Robbing Bethpage 7-Eleven While Armed With Box Cutter A 31-year-old woman was apprehended after police said she robbed a 7-Eleven on Long Island. Lexus Hughes, of Queens, was arrested for a robbery that happened at 10:15 a.m. on Friday, July 29, in Bethpage, according to the Nassau County Police Department.
