Body Of Missing Hudson Valley 75-Year-Old Found The body of a 75-year-old man who went missing in the area has been found. Richard Kendall was last seek walking on foot in Rockland County in the area of Marion Street and North Broadway in Nyack and he was reported missing by his wife at 1:19 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon. On Monday, Nov. 8, Orangetown Police reported his body was discovered in a densely wooded area of Nyack Beach State Park. No suspicious activity has been found at this time, police said.. No further information was released.

Driver Dies After Vehicle Overturns, Catches Fire In Suffolk County, Police Say A driver was killed in a fiery crash on Long Island after his vehicle overturned and he was trapped inside.Police received a report of a crash on Sound Avenue in Riverhead at about 9 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 8. The crash happened about one-fourth of a mile west of Park Road, according to the Riverhead Police Department. When officers arrived, they saw a Chevrolet pickup towing an enclosed trailer had overturned and was engulfed in flames, and the driver, Salvatore Pinello, was trapped inside, police said. Woman Claims $1 Million New York Lottery Prize A woman has claimed a $1,000,000 prize from the New York Lottery’s Mega Millions scratch-off game. NY Lottery announed on Monday, Nov. 8, that Barbara Petio, of the Bronx, had claimed the top prize. “This is just crazy,” Petio said. NY Lottery said Petio decided to receive her prize in 20 yearly payments. She received the first payment of $30,612, after required holdings, on Monday. The winning ticket was purchased at Cauldwell Pharmacy, which is located at 607 Westchester Ave. in the Bronx.

Calls Grow For Investigation Of Police Handling Of Gabby Petito, Brian Laundrie Case A petition calling for an investigation into a Florida police agency's handling of the case of the late Brian Laundrie, who was named a person of interest in the homicide of fellow Long Island native Gabby Petito, has received more than 3,600 signatures. Marianne Marra, Beloved Teacher In Westchester, Dies Marianne Marinello Marra, a longtime Westchester County resident and teacher in the area, has died at the age of 78. According to her obituary, Marra, who was a resident of Irvington, died on Friday, Nov. 5. Marra served as director of the Therapeutic Nursery program at the Clearview School in Briarcliff. Three Teens Charged In Nassau County Gunpoint Robbery, Police Say Three teenagers are facing charges after police said they robbed a group of people at gunpoint on Long Island. The Nassau County Police Department reported that the robbery happened in East Garden City at 8:10 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 5. Suffolk County Dirt Bike Crash Hospitalizes Two Teens, Police Say Two teenagers were hospitalized following a dirt bike crash on Long Island. The Suffolk County Police Department said the crash happened at 10th Street Motocross in Ronkonkoma at about 12:45 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 7. Police said the 13-year-old Huntington boy rode his bike over a ramp when his rear tire struck the 18-year-old Massapequa Park man in the face. The 13-year-old was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital to be treated for serious injuries, police said. The 18-year-old was also taken to the same hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, SCPD reported.
