Here's How Many Hours Per Day A Child Spends Looking At Screens On Average, New Study Finds Researchers have found that the average amount of time children spend looking at screens each day has doubled since before the COVID-19 pandemic. In May of 2020, children ages 12 and 13 spent an average of 7.7 hours per day looking at screens for reasons unrelated to school, according to a study in JAMA Pediatrics by researchers from the University of California-San Francisco. Police received a report of a larceny involving fraudulent transactions on the victim's CashApp account on Feb. 4, according to the Yorktown Police Department. Woman Accused Of Stabbing Victim In Suffolk County 7-Eleven Parking Lot, Police Say A 29-year-old woman is facing an assault charge after police said she stabbed a woman in the parking lot of a Long Island store. On Wednesday, Nov. 10, officers responded to a report of two women fighting in the parking lot of a 7-Eleven, located at 245 West Main St. in Riverhead, according to the Riverhead Police Department. When officers arrived, they saw that a 31-year-old Riverhead woman suffering from "extensive stab wounds," police said. The two suspects entered the IFIXSCREENS store, located at 943 Montauk Highway in Shirley, and struck an employee with a piece of wood at about 3:45 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 16, according to the Suffolk County Police Department. Search Warrant Executed In Connecticut Homicide Investigation Connecticut State Police have executed a search warrant as they continue to investigate the homicide of a 39-year-old man. Police said the search warrant was executed at 33 Moody Road in Enfield on the morning of Tuesday, Nov. 9. The location is believed to be linked to the death of Jason Comes, who officers found deceased in a vehicle in a field near Durkee Road in Somers on Thursday, Aug. 5. Comes' death was ruled a homicide, police said.  The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact the police at 860-896-3230.
