Kathy Hochul has signed a new law prohibiting municipal corporations from displaying hate symbols following two incidents last year on Long Island. Authorities Search For Man Accused Of Stealing Merchandise From Suffolk County Walmart Authorities are asking the public for help identifying and locating a man accused of stealing $1,930 in merchandise from a Long Island store.  The man entered a Walmart in Islandia at about 11 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 15, and stole assorted merchandise, Suffolk County Crime Stoppers said. Authorities said the Walmart is located at 1850 Veterans Memorial Highway in Islandia. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest.
