Frozen Pizza Products Recalled Due To Undeclared Allergens Nestlé USA Inc. is recalling more than 27,000 frozen pizza products after they were found to contain undeclared allergens. About 27,872 pounds of frozen DiGiorno Crispy Pan Crust pepperoni pizza are being recalled due to undeclared textured soy protein, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service announced on Sunday, Sept. 26. Man Sentenced For Trafficking Heroin From Fairfield County Deli, Market A man was sentenced for trafficking heroin from two businesses he operated in Fairfield County. New Haven County resident Eddy Antonio Torres Morel, age 51, of Meriden, was sentenced on Friday, Sept. 24, to 78 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release, according to Leonard Boyle, acting United States attorney for the District of Connecticut. Nassau Woman Stopped On Roadway Found Drunk With Kids In Car, Police Say A 40-year-old woman was arrested on Long Island for allegedly driving while intoxicated with two children in the vehicle. Jacqueline Lopez, of Elmont, was arrested at about 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 25, according to the Nassau County Police Department. 22-Year-Old Westchester Man Faces Host Of Charges After 100 MPH Chase, Crash, Police Say A 22-year-old Westchester County man was arrested for allegedly fleeing police during a traffic stop and causing a wrong-way crash on the Taconic State Parkway. Man Accused Of Assaulting Police Officer In Nassau County A 24-year-old man was apprehended after police say that he kicked an officer in the face on Long Island. Tristan Persaud, of Wantagh, was arrested on Sunday, Sept. 26, and charged with second-degree assault, according to the Nassau County Police Department. Long Island Woman Sentenced In DWI Crash That Killed Woman, Injured Child A Long Island woman was sentenced for driving while intoxicated and crashing into another vehicle, killing a mother, and injuring her 8-year-old son.
