Suffolk County Restaurant Closes Due To Pandemic Hardship, Staff Shortages A Long Island restaurant has closed its doors after five years in business. Swell Taco, which was located in Suffolk County in Patchogue, made the decision to close after a difficult year and a half due to the COVID-19 pandemic and staff shortages, the owners announced in an Instagram post on Monday, Sept. 27. The family-owned restaurant was located at 30 East Main St. in Patchogue. The Babylon location will remain open, the owners said. "Thank you to all our amazing customers and the town of Patchogue for all the love and support these past 5 years!" the restaurant owners said.

Officers attempted to pull a vehicle over in the parking lot of Coliseum Motor Inn in East Meadow at about 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 28, according to the Nassau County Police Department. Authorities Search For Man Accused Of Committing Lewd Act In Suffolk County Authorities are asking the public for help locating and identifying a man accused of committing a lewd act on Long Island. On Thursday, Sept. 23, at about 8:40 a.m., a 911 caller reported that a man in a dark-colored sedan was committing a lewd act on Division Street in Holtsville, according to Suffolk County Crime Stoppers. "The suspect was described as white or Hispanic, in his 20s, with dark hair and facial hair," Suffolk County Crime Stoppers reported.
