Pedestrian Dies Days After Being Hit By Car While Crossing Nassau County Street Police have identified the 28-year-old man who died from his injuries after he was struck by a car while crossing the street on Long Island. Police Searching For Missing Long Island 15-Year-Old Police are asking the public for help locating a missing 15-year-old boy who was last seen leaving his home on Long Island. Christian Guirand was last seen walking away from his house on Liberty Avenue in Uniondale at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 26, the Nassau County Police Department reported. Northern Westchester Man Dies In Head-On Crash, Police Say A 29-year-old driver died in a head-on crash overnight in the area. It happened at 4:50 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 29 in Rockland County on the Palisades Interstate Parkway in Stony Point. Former High School All-County Football, Basketball Standout In Westchester Dies George Taranto, a Connecticut resident and former high school sports standout in Westchester County, has died at the age of 77.
