Massachusetts State Police Investigating Double-Fatal Wrong-Way Crash Police are investigating after two drivers were killed in a wrong-way crash in Massachusetts. Troopers in Worcester County responded to the crash on Route 2 in Phillipston at about 11 p.m., according to the Massachusetts State Police. State Police had received reports shortly before 11 p.m. about a driver going west on the eastbound side of Route 2. One Shot, Two Others Beaten At Nassau County Party Police are investigating after two people were injured by a group of people at a Long Island party, and a 38-year-old man was shot in the leg. Nassau County Police Department reported that the shooting happened at 11:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 3 in New Hyde Park. Several people began beating a 23-year-old man at a party that was being held in the area of 50 Nassau Terminal Road, police said. Covid-19: Nassau Bar Requires Proof Of Vaccination For Entry, Saying 'Sorry, Not Sorry' A Long Island bar has joined a growing list of businesses that have implemented a COVID-19 vaccine requirement. The Black Sheep Ale House made the announcement on Monday, Aug. 2. The business is located in Mineola. "From this moment forward, until further notice, The Black Sheep is VAX ONLY. Covid-19: Obama 'Significantly' Scales Back Martha's Vineyard 60th Birthday Bash Guest List Former President Barack Obama has significantly scaled back his 60th birthday party scheduled to take place in Martha's Vineyard this weekend. Covid-19: All CT Counties Now Classified As Areas With 'Substantial' Community Transmission All eight of Connecticut's counties have been classified by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as areas with "substantial" community transmission of COVID-19. This means in during the period in the week of Tuesday, July 27, through Monday, Aug. 2, between 50 and 99.99 cases of COVID-19 were reported per 100,000 in each county. Litchfield County became the final county classified as having "substantial" community transmission. Police Searching For Man Accused Of Using Stolen Credit Card At Long Island Target Authorities in Suffolk County are asking the public for help identifying and locating a man accused of using a stolen credit card at an area store. The man used a credit card that was stolen in Setauket at a Target in Selden at about 2:20 p.m. on Thursday, July 29, the Suffolk County Police Department reported.
