Man Pleads Guilty In Steroid, Drug Case Linked To Former Newtown Cop
NEWTOWN, Conn. -- Less than two months after a former Newtown police sergeant admitted to participating in a steroid and prescription narcotic distribution conspiracy, a Derby man pleaded guilty Monday to one count of conspiracy to distribute and to possess with intent to distribute oxycodone in the same case.
In pleading guilty, Frank Pecora admitted that he conspired with others to distribute oxycodone, cocaine, morphine and anabolic steroids, according to Deirdre M. Daly, U.S. attorney for Connecticut.

Man, 27, Charged With DWI In Route 22 Stop In Southeast
SOUTHEAST, N.Y. -- The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office has charged a Connecticut man with driving while intoxicated.
A deputy stopped a motorist who had allegedly committed a traffic violation on Route 22 in Southeast on Sunday, Jan. 10, at 2:55 a.m., officials report.
The deputy determined that the driver, identified as Brendan R. Tyrell, 27, of Danbury, Conn., was intoxicated, according to police.
The deputy arrested Tyrell and charged him with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, according to police.
