Minnie Sead, 83, Of Norwalk NORWALK, Conn. -- Minnie E. Sead, a resident of Norwalk died on Monday, Jan. 11. She was 83. She was employed with Beiersdorf Inc. until retirement. Sead is survived by a son, Anderson Sead, Jr.; one sister Della Mills; seven grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Anderson Sead, Sr., son Carlis Sead and sister Ernestine Wilson. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 16, at 12 p.m. at the St. James Baptist Church, 60 Rockland Road, Norwalk, with Rev. Kenneth DuBose Sr. officiating. Interment will be private.

Finance Students At Danbury's Wcsu Win Venture Capital Competition DANBURY, Conn. — A team of finance students from Western Connecticut State University’s Ancell School of Business in Danbury took top place at the state level of the Venture Capital Investment Competition last month.The team is made up of finance majors Zachary Goodwin of Brookfield, Thomas Chin of Sandy Hook and Domenic Bartolomeo of Brewster, N.Y., and led by WCSU Assistant Professor of Finance Carol Huang.
