Fairfield Doctor Gets 7 Years For Illegally Prescribing Painkillers FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- A 53-year-old Fairfield doctor was sentenced Wednesday to seven years in federal prison after pleading guilty to dispensing Oxycodone and other substances illegally, according to U.S. Attorney for Connecticut Deirdre Daly. His illegal prescriptions have been connected to the opioid additions of dozens of patients and linked at least one overdose death in New York, Daly said.
