Midland Park Administrators, Supervisors Get Raise In Latest Contract MIDLAND PARK, N.J. – The Midland Park Administrators and Supervisors Association has been awarded a three-year contract that will guarantee every one in the seven-member group an average annual raise of 2.7 percent, according to northjersey.com. The school district’s Board of Education approved the contract, which was announced at the Sept. 15 meeting by board President Maryalice Thomas, according to northjersey.com. Croton Elementary Students Get Creative With Help Of Artist CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. -- Students at the Carrie E. Tompkins Elementary School had the opportunity to work with a local artist this week as Joe Mullins led a series of different lessons.Under his guidance, students were able to test different colors to create leaf prints. VFW Breakfast Fundraiser Benefits Brewster HS Njrotc Boosters BREWSTER, N.Y. -- Brewster VFW Post 672 will be serving up eggs, bacon, sausage and waffles Sunday during its Breakfast Fundraiser.The event, open from 9-11 a.m., will take place at the VFW headquarters, 262 Peaceable Hill Road. Children under 12 will be admitted for free, but young adults and adults will be charged $5 and $10, respectively. There are no reservations needed. All are welcome. Paterson Soldier Killed In Training Exercise At Kentucky Base PATERSON, N.J. -- A 22-year-old soldier from Paterson died after being shot during a training exercise earlier this week, according to a report on nj.com. Kevin J. Rodriguez, a member of 101st Airborne Division, was taken to the Blanchfield Army Community Hospital at Fort Campbell, Ky., where he was pronounced dead after the Tuesday shooting, the story said. According to the story, Rodriguez' death was viewed as accidental, but still was being investigated.
