West Milford Elks Announce Upcoming Events WEST MILFORD, N.J. -- The West Milford Elks have several events to keep residents busy throughout March.  The monthly breakfast will be held from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Sunday, March 13.  Bar specials will run from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with 12 wings for $6 or 2 hotdogs with fries for $5 on Monday, March 14.  The Elks will celebrate St. Patrick's Day on Thursday, March 17 with "Juke Box Thursday" from 5 p.m. to close.  A sliced steak dinner will be served on Monday, March 28. The West Milford Elks Lodge is located at 1860 Union Valley Rd.

Hawthorne Art Students Honored HAWTHORNE, N.J. -- Several students from Lincoln Middle School in Hawthorne had artwork selected for inclusion in the Art Educators of New Jersey Passaic County Youth Art Month Exhibition.Turner Marks, Natalie Kane, Emma Wolf, Danielle Hechavarria, Caleigh McCarthy, Alex Nadirashvili, Michael Ptak, Sara Quiano, Alisha Vanderhook. In honor of Youth Art Month, their artwork will be on display throughout the month of March at the Gallery in the Louis Bay Second Library in Hawthorne.  The students will also be honored for their artistic achievements at a reception on March 26.

Dumont Council Approves Residential Development On D'Angelo Farms DUMONT, N.J. -- Members of the Dumont Borough Council voted 5-1 to approve the development of apartments on the D'Angelo Farms and Borough Hall properties, according to NorthJersey.com. Several residents attended the meeting in voiced their opposition to the development of 142 new apartments on the land.
