Wyckoff YMCA Show Seeks Talent WYCKOFF, N.J. -- The Wyckoff YMCA is holding an open call audition for its spring talent show.Singers, dancers, musicians, variety acts and performers with special skills are invited to audition on Sunday, April 3 from 2:45 p.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturday, April 9 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Auditions are open to all ages. Mahwah Empowerment Thru Motion Offers 'Girl Power' Program MAHWAH, N.J. -- Empowering Women Through Motion will host a 10-week "girl power" program in Mahwah beginning on Saturday, April 9. The program is designed for girls ages 8-12 and will empower women through physical and emotional fitness while providing a charitable opportunity to support women in need. Bergen County OEM Offers Training Course In Mahwah MAHWAH, N.J. -- Bergen County will host a SKYWARN Spotter Training seminar on Wednesday, April 13 at the Bergen County Law and Public Safety Academy.SKYWARN is a network of trained volunteers who keep their local communities safe by providing timely and accurate reports of severe weather to the National Weather Service. Hawthorne's St. Anthony School Makes New Jersey History HAWTHORNE, N.J. -- St. Anthony School in Hawthorne became the first Catholic elementary school in the State of New Jersey to be awarded STEM Certification on Tuesday, March 2. The certification was awarded by AdvancED, a nationally recognized accreditation agency. The award is the culmination of five years of focus on STEM education at St. Anthony School.

Cresskill, Dumont 9-1-1 Calls Double Under New Agreement CRESSKILL, N.J. -- Dumont has seen the number of 9-1-1 calls double since agreeing to share services with Cresskill at the beginning of the year, according to NorthJersey.com. Dumont officials said the eight-man crew fielded 202 calls in January and February. The team answered 558 calls for all of last year, NorthJersey.com reported. Officials said while much of the spike is from the new agreement, more calls are also coming in from cellphone users in cars, who may not even be driving in Cresskill at the time of the call, NorthJersey.com said.
