Spring Valley Man Charged With Stabbing Stepdaughter SPRING VALLEY, N.Y. -- Authorities charged a Spring Valley man in connection to the stabbing of his stepdaughter on Wednesday, Feb. 3, according to News 12 Hudson Valley.  The suspect, who was unidentified, was arrested in Augusta, Georgia after fleeing the scene and driving through the night, News 12 Hudson Valley reported.  The 15-year-old victim was reportedly assaulted several times and is currently in intensive care, News 12 Hudson Valley said.  Click here to read the News 12 Hudson Valley article.

Norwalk Police: Man Had Pound Of Marijuana In Bag NORWALK, Conn. --  Norwalk Police arrested a local man on several drug charges after finding him in possession of a pound of marijuana and over $14,000 in cash on Wenesday, officials said. The Norwalk Special Services Unit and U.S. Marshals surrounded the home on Muffin Lane while waiting for a warrant to be obtained when Zachary Fisher, 23, ran out of the back door and fled into a wooded area. Man Driving 80 MPH On Taconic Charged With DWI, Police Say EAST FISHKILL, N.Y. -- A Poughkeepsie man was charged with felony driving while intoxicated on Saturday, Jan. 30 while driving on the Taconic State Parkway in East Fishkill, according to New York State Police.  Troopers pulled over Brian R. Morgan, 40, after observing him traveling at approximately 80 mph. Subsequent investigation prompted troopers to detain Morgan on suspicion of being intoxicated, police said.  Morgan was charged with felony driving while intoxicated after it was discovered he had a previous DWI-related conviction in July 2014, police said.

Advisory For Sex Offender In Beekman Issued BEEKMAN, N.Y. -- The Dutchess County Sheriff's Department has issued an alert to notify Beekman area residents that a registered sex offender has moved into the area.  Frank Babcock, 44, is now residing in the Pine Grove Motel located at 2659 Route 55. Babcock is listed as a Level Three sex offender and was convicted of having sexual contact with a 9-year-old boy, police said.  Babcock is described as a white male, standing 6-feet tall and weighing 150 pounds.  At this time there are no charges pending against Babcock, police said.
