Ramapo Police Recover Property Stolen From Cars
RAMAPO, N.Y. -- Ramapo police have recovered several items stolen from cars of area residents and arrested a suspect allegedly connected to the case. In connection with a recent string of car larcenies, police obtained a search warrant for a residence in the Village of Pomona on Tuesday, Feb. 16, officials report. As a result of the investigation, several stolen items were recovered, and a 32-year-old Pomona man was apprehended, according to police. Parenting Expert Giving Lecture In Ridgewood

History On Display At Pompton Lakes Council Chambers
POMPTON LAKES, N.J. -- The Canal Society of New Jersey has installed an educational display about the history of the state’s canals in the Pompton Lakes Council chambers. The display will be available for several weeks. Anyone interested in the history of the Morris Canal and the future Morris Canal Greenway can stop by for a look. Garfield High Jumper Takes First At Chiswell Classic
GARFIELD, N.J. -- Garfield High School sophomore Kornelia Jablonska won the girls high jump for the indoor track team at the Bob Chiswell Classic hosted by Garfield on Wednesday, Feb. 17. Jablonska leaped 4 feet, 10 inches, a personal best. Jablonska also competes in the 400-meter dash, 400-meter hurdles and 5K.

Darien Police Accepting Applications From Ceritified Officers
DARIEN, Conn. -- The Darien Police Department is currently accepting job applications from full-time, certified Connecticut police officers. Applicants must have maintained their certifications for a minimum of two consecutive years, and must have earned a minimum of 30 credits from an accredited college or university. Each candidate must attach a copy of their diploma or academic transcripts to the application at the time of submission. SADDLE BROOK, N.J. -- Saddle Brook Little League is holding free baseball instructional clinics for all registered SBLL players age 7 to 12 on February 20 and 27, at Aces and Sluggers, 2 Carlton Ave., in East Rutherford. Yorktown Police Arrest Peekskill Woman In Theft From Employer At Mall
YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Yorktown police have arrested a 27-year-old Peekskill woman for stealing from a local retailer. Police were dispatched to investigate a report of a past larceny that occurred at the H&M clothing store in the Jefferson Valley Mall on Thursday, Feb. 11, at approximately 4:27 p.m., according to officials. An investigation at the scene revealed that an employee, Zakheima J.
