A police officer on patrol Saturday, Jan. 9, observed a red Volkswagen Jetta allegedly traveling at a high rate of speed on Stony St. at approximately 12:58 p.m., officials report. The vehicle was stopped, and the operator was identified as Sean B. Deleon, 20, according to police. Winter start dates include: varsity ice hockey on Monday, Nov. 7; varsity and JV sports, along with modified ice hockey, on Monday, Nov. 14; and all other modified sports on Monday, Nov. 28. A deputy observed a speeding motorist commit several traffic violations on Route 9 in the Town of Philipstown on Sunday, Jan. 3, at 9:52 p.m., police report. At one point, the deputy paced the motorist traveling at 105 miles-per-hour in a 45 miles-per-hour zone, according to police.
