Norwalk's Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum Starts 50th Year With New Show NORWALK, Conn. -- In collaboration with the Silvermine School of Art, the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum is kicking off its 50th Anniversary with a new exhibition by artist and photography instructor Bruce Dunbar. The exhibition, “Endangered & Re-envisioned: Iconic Landmarks and Interiors,” will open to the public on Thursday, April 7, from noon to 4 p.m. at the museum, 295 West Ave. A fundraising reception will follow from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the reception are $10 for non-members and $5 for members. Katie Moore Sworn In As North Arlington Borough Clerk NORTH ARLINGTON, N.J. -- A new borough clerk was appointed in North Arlington during a recent mayor and council meeting, as Katie Moore, 26, a lifelong North Arlington resident, was sworn in by Mayor Joe Bianchi. Moore, who started working for the borough doing clerical work as a high school intern, stayed on through college and took a full time position as an administrative assistant after graduating in 2011. Man Charged With Stealing Wrenches From Sears Store Display In Yorktown YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Yorktown police have arrested a 51-year-old Ossining resident for allegedly stealing tools from a local store. Police responded to a shoplifting complaint from Sears at 600 Lee Blvd. on Wednesday at approximately 5:15 p.m., police report. After an investigation, Allen P. Moscone Jr., stole three Craftsman wrenches valued at $110.97 from a store display, according to officials. Moscone was charged with petty larceny, a class A misdemeanor, police report. Stamford Students At Lauralton Hall Help With Diaper Drive For Nonprofit BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Members of Lauralton Hall’s National Honor Society recently collected diapers and wipes for women in need at the Mercy Learning Center of Bridgeport. Yorktown Heights Woman Charged With DWI YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Yorktown police have arrested a 57-year-old Yorktown Heights resident on DWI charges after the suspect reportedly drove her car over a resident’s lawn, police said. An officer responded to a report of a vehicle being driven in the rear yard of a residence on Manchester Road on Thursday, March 3, about 9:12 p.m., according to police. Oradell Lions Club To Award Scholarships To Graduating Seniors ORADELL, N.J. -- The Oradell Lions Club has announced that it will be awarding scholarships to students graduating high school in 2016 and entering college next year. Four $1,000 scholarships will be awarded. The criteria includes academic achievement, community service, extracurricular activities and need. Applicants must be Oradell residents.
